The project area is located in the immediate neighborhood of the airport, on the highway connecting Kocaeli and Sakarya provinces. The project area has a partially sloping topography and a forest texture in a certain area. The first of the main design criteria throughout the project is a mass settlement that respects the surrounding green texture and can make good use of topographic features. Access points on the neighboring carriageway of the project area are limited and defined. These points were preserved while the project was being developed and were considered as land entry and exit points in the project settlement.
While positioning the fair structures and other program components in the area, it is aimed to ensure that fair preparation roads and technical entrances do not intersect with fair users and to ensure smooth traffic circulation. It is aimed to move the technical entrance areas of the fair buildings to the side of the forest texture, so that the facades of the buildings turn to the city view and welcome the users directly from the front. In order to keep the project costs limited in the area, open car parks were arranged whenever possible, while indoor car parks were designed in the sloped parts. The Conference Center was planned in a location where independence could be used during non-fair times, and the exhibition units were planned to work with a linear visitor structure. A façade design was created in which the fair units depict themselves massively in the design and the circulations and fair areas are separated from each other as facade characteristics.
