Situated in Istanbul’s eastern district of Pendik, the Kurtköy Bus Terminal is designed as a next-generation transfer hub that integrates local and intercity transportation systems.

The project spans a 16,050 m² area and is planned to meet increasing traffic and passenger volume demands. Its compact layout ensures efficient circulation for vehicles, shuttles, and passengers by organizing separate zones for each use.

With designated platforms for arriving and departing buses, shuttle zones, and indoor/outdoor parking lots, the terminal offers a comprehensive solution to the operational and spatial needs of a modern transit node.

The architectural strategy is based on clarity and continuity—key qualities in transportation facilities. The layout separates pedestrian and vehicle flows, providing a safe and legible experience for all users.

The terminal mass is positioned to respond to the natural terrain with minimal intervention, ensuring environmental integration. Entry-exit axes and surrounding open spaces are designed to prioritize user comfort and seamless transitions between transportation modes.
