The Nakkaş-Başakşehir Section Control Structures are buildings planned to control, maintain, and ensure the smooth flow of service on the relevant section of the Northern Marmara Highway. Located within a campus, the structures generally consist of offices and ancillary functions. They were designed with the idea of creating qualified workspaces for personnel who will be responsible for controlling and regularly maintaining the daily flow of the highway.
The overall design of the buildings emphasizes creating a common language between the structures. Wide eaves, strong horizontal lines, and prominent vertical walls and volumes are considered the main determinants in the design of the buildings. The general architectural language is shaped by simple geometries, strong horizontality, controlled transparency, and natural material tones. The building exhibits an approach that integrates with the surrounding landscape rather than overshadowing it, preserves the human scale, and presents a contemporary corporate architectural identity.

The largest unit within the campus is the building called AKM, which houses a central control room surrounded by offices. The ground floor contains office spaces, while the upper floors offer shared terrace access.

Apart from the AKM building, the KGM office building and the cafeteria building are other structures serving the campus. These buildings are relatively smaller and single-story compared to the AKM building. They were designed with the goal of creating a common design language among the buildings.
