Konya Library Building is envisioned as a contemporary space for knowledge and social interaction, shaped by a multi-layered program and user-centered spatial arrangement. A newly established public axis within the plot enhances pedestrian flow and ensures spatial continuity, integrating the building into the urban fabric.
The library program is composed of modules responding to various user profiles, including individual and group study areas, reading halls, and dedicated children and youth zones. Atriums between floors create a visual connection across levels, offering spatial openness and intuitive orientation.

By horizontally fragmenting the mass, the building establishes a porous relationship with the surrounding open spaces. This approach transforms the structure from a traditional information repository into a socially and culturally engaging civic center.

The design adopts a layered composition of horizontal volumes, reducing the perceived mass and strengthening its contextual relationship with the environment. Modular façade openings and shading elements regulate natural lighting and create a rhythmic exterior expression.

At ground level, recessed public zones enhance permeability and invite urban users to interact with the building’s periphery, expanding its function beyond library use.
An integrated circulation system improves accessibility and encourages interaction between different programmatic zones on all floors.
